About The Position

If you have a background in selling to the sign, sports or billboard industries with a strong knowledge of electronic LED digital signage, and can back up claims that your customers see you as someone knowledgeable who have helped them grow their business, Media Resources maybe the right company for you.  With strong support from the firm’s owners, management & engineering teams you will receive a base salary and an uncapped commission structure based on performance.  People without a strong business, customer and bottom line orientation need not apply.

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Executive you will be responsible for developing customer relationships and sales strategies for your geographic/vertical market area.  In this capacity the person will be responsible for developing target customer lists, sales strategies leveraging the company’s resources to achieve your mutually agreed sales, revenue, gross margin and customer satisfaction targets.  In this capacity you will be responsible for preserving and expanding your customer base. Currently Media Resources is looking for Business Development Executives in the following areas:

  • US Northeast covering Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island
  • US Southeast covering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia
  • US South covering Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana
  • and a Sports Specialist focus on the mid-tier market

The goal is to find opportunities and turn them in long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have talent in sales, be strong in technical selling and be exceptional at Customer Service. You will be expected to be a reliable professional able to achieve balance between customer orientation and business results required for Media Resources. In this capacity the successful candidate will:

  • Develop an annual sales plan inclusive of existing and new customer targets in support of organization strategy and objectives
  • Working with marketing & sales management, create detailed marketing, sales and key customer account plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas
  • Develop a prospecting plan for new customers including unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a both a deal and a long-term relationship. As part of this remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs
  • Present proposals and opportunities to prospective clients
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ satisfaction with Media Resources. This will include responding to complaints and resolve issues aimed to customer contentment and the preservation of the Company’s reputation

  • Communication Proficiency both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, in a sales or account development role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Hubspot preferred) is a plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business administration
  • At least 5 years of business experience in a sales or account development role
